I’ll back our police with the funding and tools they need to do their jobs, no apologies. I’ll push for tougher penalties on repeat offenders—mandatory sentences for habitual criminals, not slaps on the wrist. I’ll work hand-in-hand with the County Sheriff, County Attorney, District Attorney, and our State Attorney General to cut through bureaucracy and make sure law enforcement has a real ally in Des Moines.

We’ll crack down on drug trafficking that’s tearing at our communities, targeting dealers who prey on our kids. I’ll fight to kill any ‘defund the police’ nonsense before it even starts—our officers deserve respect, not roadblocks. And for our veterans and military families, I’ll ensure they get the benefits, healthcare, and job support they’ve earned—not lip service from the state.
